The client, GarantiBank, a major Turkish banking institution acquired raw demised space consisting of 3,500 sq. ft. -350m2 to develop an international banking branch in Riverside Towers Development, overlooking the Moscow River.
The client objective was the creation of a modern and functional space that reflects the business approach of GarantiBank.
In order to meet the client's initial design objectives within an irregular space, and yet not to diminish the overall opportunity for light, no individual part of the space was to subtract from the whole. This was achieved by illuminating the entire space with natural light via semi-translucent glass, allowing light to filter in every corner.
The western influence in Russia, particularly in respect to architecture and construction, has brought about a desire for change by the Russian people. Our client's strategically and purposefully sought out our design services to help define and represent their ideals for new Russia. One that has broken down the wall and welcomed democracy in a stylized fashion. Innovation, material usage and spatial relationships fostered that change in Moscow and this design has sparked an increased social awareness of an option to traditional planning and construction.
