The design development and preparation of contract drawings and specifications for the replacement of the existing catwalk shelter booths within each tube of both tunnel systems. The project entails the removal of twelve existing booths and the installation ten newly designed booths. The design criteria for the new shelter booths are: safety, visibility and functionality. The design objective was to provide a safe and functional environment for the attendant to monitor traffic in the tunnel and create a highly visible structure that is clearly seen by motorist. |
